SOMeCA is home to vibrant campuswide student organizations that create communities, events, performances, publications, and productions. This year, we face the challenge of not being able to gather in person. Fortunately, we adapted and have new ways to build community and learn together.
Change brings opportunity. In this year of historic change, SOMeCA organizations will have opportunities to engage as leaders, tackle real life issues, and master the skills needed in the classroom and in their careers.
Through the Student Agency Model, we have built a community of over 200 dynamic organizations in which students can gain the knowledge and experience that employers and national leaders are looking for, such as critical thinking, applied knowledge in real-world settings, ethical decision making, complex problem solving, and cultural fluency. This year, students will be able to access all SOMeCA services online and engage in new trainings, mentorship, and mixers with alumni in all fields.
