AlcoholEdu is an online, science-based course taken by tens of thousands of college students each year. It provides a detailed education about alcohol and its effects on the body and mind. Whether or not an individual drinks, AlcoholEdu empowers them to make well-informed decisions about alcohol and better cope with the drinking behavior of peers.

The course is presented in a variety of formats, including slides, audio/video clips, quiz questions, interactive exercises and journaling activities. Additionally, it includes a comprehensive final exam and pre- and post- assessments.

AlcoholEdu is used as an educational sanction for students who have violated the UCSC AOD policy or other University regulations while under the influence of alcohol and/or other drugs. There is a $40 participation fee for students referred as part of a judicial or court sanction.
